Green GOOD DESIGN-Award

The ENECTOR wallbox has won another design award: the Green GOOD DESIGN Award, bestowed by the European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and the Chicago Athenaeum.

The jury believe that, "through the wallbox's sustainability credentials, KOSTAL is responding very effectively to economic and environmental demands". In combination with the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter, the ENECTOR wallbox delivers smart modes for efficient use of solar energy.

Thanks to high-quality “made in Germany” components, the ENECTOR offers good operational reliability and durability. 

Haustec-Award

Haustec.de is an online trade magazine for building technology and for a number of years has been presenting awards for the most popular products across various categories as part of its reader survey. 

In 2023, more than 15,000 product users were able to select their favourites from the 52 products put forward. The ENECTOR wallbox from KOSTAL competed in the "Energy" category, where it gained a proud second place. 

This shows that users appreciate the advanced charging technology and dynamic features of the ENECTOR wallbox. The easy-to-read LED display and the 7.5-metre-long charging cable also ensure a good amount of convenience.

EUPD-Award 2023

22,000 installers and system operators agree: when it comes to home energy management, KOSTAL offers renowned solutions. 

This was the result of a survey conducted by the independent Bonn-based research institute EUPD. KOSTAL won an award in two categories: "Brand" and "Prosumer". 

KOSTAL owes this success to its high product quality, efficiency and service, and also to its holistic systemic approach. KOSTAL is synonymous with tradition, innovation and the highest “made in Germany” quality standards.

SPI-Award 2023

For the sixth time in a row, in 2023 KOSTAL once again won numerous awards as part of the HTW Berlin's electricity storage inspection. Whether AC or DC coupled, single-phase or three-phase, KOSTAL ranks highly in all applications. 

The PLENTICORE plus 5.5 kW, for example, came third in energy class A. The PLENTICORE BI battery inverter even took first place among three-phase AC systems. The PLENTICORE plus 10 kW also secured a place in the top 5 rankings. 

This once again demonstrated that KOSTAL offers ideal solutions for high levels of efficiency and self-sufficiency.

EUPD-Award 2022

KOSTAL Solar Electric and its inverters win over customers both in Germany and throughout Europe. This was confirmed by a survey of installers conducted by the market research institute EUPD, which resulted in it being awarded the much-coveted "Top Brand PV" awards for Germany and Europe in the "Inverter" product category.

This shows that KOSTAL is hitting the spot with installers and customers through its lean but extremely flexible portfolio.

SPI-Award 2022

Coupled with BYD's battery storage systems, KOSTAL once again demonstrated the outstanding performance of its product portfolio. For example, the PLENTICORE BI 10 kW in combination with the HVS storage 12.8 is the best three-phase AC system. 

The PLENTICORE plus hybrid inverter also demonstrates its impressive performance with the HVS 12.8 and was listed in the top 5. At 5.5 kW, its smaller brother took a respectable third place in the outstanding energy class A.

And the PIKO MP plus, in combination with the HVS 7.7, came second among all single-phase AC-coupled systems.      

German Design Award

Shortly after the product launch, the first wallbox released by KOSTAL Solar Electric, the ENECTOR, had already received an award. The ENECTOR received the German Design Award "Special Mention" for its innovative and dynamic design language.

This makes the wallbox the perfect example of how to combine functionality and good looks.  It also offers maximum flexibility with the LED display, which provides various status messages at a glance, and the 7.5-metre charging cable.

SPI-Award 2021

The research group Solar Storage Systems at HTW Berlin compares storage systems every year. Some of the tests included combinations of inverters from KOSTAL and battery storage units from BYD. The
results were truly impressive.

The PLENTICORE plus in its 10 kW version, for example, won third place. And the 5 kW PLENTICORE plus also ranked in the top 3. The PLENTICORE BI 19 kW/26 even delivered the best SPI result among AC-coupled systems.

Red Dot Design Award

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the largest design competitions in the world and is a highly coveted seal of quality that recognises good design. In 2019, the KOSTAL Solar App received the Red Dot Award for Brands & Communication Design.

The jury consisted of 24 international experts and reviewed more than 8,000 submissions. The outstanding features of the Solar App are its high design quality, creative performance and intuitive ease of use.  

The KOSTAL Solar App is a free application that enables owners of a photovoltaic system to quickly view their energy generation, home consumption and more on a smartphone or tablet.
