With PLENTICOIN, KOSTAL is deliberately taking a different approach: rather than hard-coding functions and performance levels into a device that may ultimately never be used, you decide together with your customers what will actually be used – and your customers only pay for that.
This principle differs from traditional pricing models and therefore naturally raises questions. That is precisely why we would like to explain transparently what lies behind PLENTICOIN and why the model is beneficial for both you and your customers.
Your customers only pay for what they actually need
Every installation is different – different roof areas, different electricity requirements, different expansion plans. An inverter that is supplied ex-works with the maximum possible power rating, the battery function activated and all available features included results in costs for power reserves and features that many installation operators do not actually need.
With PLENTICOIN, you can select the appropriate basic configuration for each project and then specifically activate only those functions that your customer actually needs – either directly during installation or later on, should requirements change.
The principle behind this is simple: if your customer needs more power or additional functions, these are activated on a case-by-case basis. You don’t have to pay for what you don’t need.
Maximum flexibility for you and your customers
The true added value of PLENTICOIN becomes particularly apparent over time. These days, solar power systems are rarely designed once and then left unchanged for twenty years. An electric car is added, electricity consumption rises, a battery storage system is installed, or the system is expanded to include further inverters.
With Multi Device Control, several PLENTICORE inverters can be linked together to form an intelligent network and controlled collectively. PLENTICOIN is designed precisely for such expansions: rather than investing from the outset in functions and performance reserves that may only be needed later, the system can grow in line with your customers’ requirements – without the need to replace existing hardware simply because an additional function or performance level is required.

Fairly priced – even when compared to others
We are aware that, at first glance, an additional activation step may appear to be a further cost. However, when considering a fully equipped system – including activated performance enhancements and battery functionality – it becomes clear that, overall, a PLENTICORE solution remains more cost-effective than comparably equipped systems from other premium European manufacturers.
The difference, therefore, does not lie in the technology suddenly becoming more expensive when used to its full potential. The difference lies in the pricing model: your customers do not pay for all technically possible functions and power reserves from the outset, but rather pay specifically for what they actually need for their system.
