KOSTAL at Intersolar Europe 2025: Successful appearance with strong innovations

Under the motto "By professionals. For professionals.", KOSTAL presented real system competence – with powerful new products, practical solutions and a well-thought-out digital ecosystem for installers, planners and operators. The trade fair appearance once again demonstrated how consistently KOSTAL helps shape the energy transition – reliably, efficiently and with a focus on the future. And once again it showed the ever-growing interest in the industry: 4,260 professional visitors informed themselves at the KOSTAL stand about current solar trends, such as the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3, the PIKO CI G2, and the topics of "Dynamic electricity tariffs" and "Cybersecurity".
 

The highlights of Intersolar 2025:
 

The PLENTICORE was once again at the center of attention at Intersolar this year. The extremely flexible and expandable universal inverter already made an impressive debut in 2024 and once again attracted enthusiastic installers and fans to the KOSTAL stand this year. In addition to the integration of EEBus and the future possibility of using dynamic electricity tariffs, the new single-phase version of the PLENTICORE G3 was a particular focus.

PLENTICORE G3 – maximum flexibility with system

Once again, the PLENTICORE G3 was the focus – the universal inverter for many application scenarios. Three device types, three operating modes, three power classes: with the 3 × 3 × 3 principle, the PLENTICORE G3 covers up to 27 applications. Up to 20 kW hybrid power, DC inputs up to 30 A, backup capability and EEBus integration make it the ideal solution for modern PV systems. And thanks to the BackUp Switch, reliable backup power can be easily retrofitted.

PLENTICORE MP – powerful for small systems and repowering

The new single-phase PLENTICORE MP also attracted great interest. It is optimal for small new installations or for repowering older systems. Based on the proven G3 platform, it offers WiFi, Comboard technology and easy installation and commissioning. Compatible with ENECTOR, BackUp Switch and numerous high-voltage batteries, the PLENTICORE MP impresses with its versatility. And for repowering, the PLENTICORE MP works “without new wiring” for existing customers who want to replace their previous inverter with a KOSTAL product.

Flexible storage – KOSTAL storage solutions in focus

With up to seven storage partners, KOSTAL demonstrated at the fair what technologically open, highly efficient storage solutions can look like. Whether DYNESS Stack 100, ZYC cascades with up to 8 storage towers or proven systems like BYD – all solutions impress with high storage efficiency. The absence of DC/DC converters ensures minimal losses. As confirmed in the HTW storage inspection, KOSTAL systems once again achieve top results – setting standards in their class.

PIKO CI G2 – new generation for commercial sector presented

In the commercial sector, KOSTAL presented the next generation of its inverters for 30, 50 and 100 kW with the PIKO CI G2. Compact dimensions, integrated Smart AC Switch, arc detection and combined AC/DC surge protection ensure safety and performance. Commissioning is easy via the PIKO CI app – now with Bluetooth for greater range. This makes the PIKO CI G2 a future-proof solution for various commercial installations.

Digitalization made tangible: KOSTAL's digital tools

In addition to hardware solutions, KOSTAL also presented its updated digital tools. The Solar App in PRO mode enables commissioning within minutes. Functions such as storage integration or performance upgrades can be flexibly activated via PLENTICOIN. The Solar Terminal bundles all central services for planning, monitoring and configuration. With the web version of Solar Plan, PV systems can be conveniently planned from a smartphone, tablet or PC – simply, quickly, securely.

ENECTOR – intelligent charging in the system

The ENECTOR wallbox also received exciting new features and therefore attracted great interest. A software update allows automatic switching between single-phase and three-phase charging. Swarm configurations in parallel operation are now also possible. The integrated "Time Mode" enables cost-effective charging during periods of low electricity tariffs. With a 7.5 m cable, minimal standby consumption and system integration, ENECTOR is a future-proof solution for the smart home.

Dynamic electricity tariffs 

Dynamic electricity tariffs offer new opportunities to use power at especially low prices – provided your PV system is prepared. KOSTAL inverters and wallboxes, with intelligent control and compatible high-voltage storage, enable flexible use of low electricity prices.

And this is how KOSTAL customers benefit with the PLENTICORE: simply activate the corresponding function in the inverter’s web server. The KOSTAL PLENTICORE then automatically retrieves current electricity exchange prices and charges the connected battery storage specifically during times of favorable tariffs. This allows electricity to be stored cost-effectively – efficiently, simply and with a future-oriented approach.

Compatible with new module generations

The PLENTICORE G3 is designed for modern, high-performance solar modules of the latest generation. Thanks to DC input currents of up to 30 A, the use of large-format cells and bifacial modules is possible – without power loss. This allows operators to fully exploit the potential of their system – for maximum yield from their solar installation.
