The PLENTICORE hybrid inverter and the PLENTICORE BI battery inverter from KOSTAL are perfectly matched to the combination with the battery storage system from ZYC Energy.

SIMPO HV storage system and PLENTICORE inverter
The PLENTICORE G3 is available in three power classes as standard: S, M and L. The S version offers 4 kW, but can be extended to 5.5 and even 7 kW. The PLENTICORE G3 M starts at 8.5 kW, but can be extended to 10 or 12.5 kW. The most powerful class L starts at 15 kW, but can be extended to 17.5 or even 20 kW. The ZYC SIMPO HV also emphasises flexibility. It starts with 2 modules (6.4 kWh) and can be extended to up to 8 modules (25.6 kWh) at any time.
This means that the user has complete flexibility when deciding on the performance of their system: both initially and at a later date. All that is needed to expand the capacity of the PLENTICORE is activation using the PLENTICOIN and the purchase of additional modules in the case of the ZYC storage system. The modules can simply be attached via a module connection. Without screwing. Installation and commissioning is extremely simple. The SIMPO HV can be set up with just one click, without the need for an app.

The ZYC solar storage system and the KOSTAL PLENTICORE - how easy installation works
The PLENTICORE inverters are easy to install indoors and outdoors using wall mounting. They are connected to the PV modules or the ZYC battery via the easily accessible DC ports and connected to the grid via AC. Push-in terminals ensure simple wiring without tools. The connection to the KOSTAL Smart Energy Meter or KOSTAL Energy Meter energy meters can be easily established via the existing Modbus interface. Communication with the network/web server is wireless via WLAN or wired via the RJ45 port and is easy to set up.
The SIMPO HV battery storage system can also be easily prepared for connection to the PLENTICORE. The individual battery modules can be stacked on top of each other without being screwed together. We only recommend screwing them to the wall. Thanks to IP65, the ZYC battery storage system can be installed indoors and outdoors in the immediate vicinity of the inverter.
Connecting the KOSTAL PLENTICORE to the ZYC SIMPO HV battery storage system is very easy. The battery system is connected via the two DC cables to the DC input of the inverter, which is to be activated via an activation code (PLENTICORE G3, PLENTICORE plus) or is already functional (PLENTICORE BI). Communication between the inverter and battery takes place via the RJ45/RS485 connection. In this way, the integrated battery management system of the ZYC battery storage system harmonises with the communication board of the PLENTICORE inverter and can be connected quickly and easily.
PLENTICORE G3 with matching accessories
The BackUp Switch and DC overvoltage protection are also available separately for the PLENTICORE G3.
KOSTAL BackUp Switch: The third generation of the PLENTICORE also has a backup power function. In combination with the KOSTAL BackUp Switch and a connected battery storage unit, the supply is secured in the event of a power failure - independent of the mains.
And this is how it works: The KOSTAL BackUp Switch is installed as a manual switch on the top-hat rail in the sub-distribution board at the grid connection point. The low installation effort makes installation and handling extremely easy.
DC overvoltage protection (type 2): To protect against induced overvoltages that can penetrate from the solar module side, the DC overvoltage protection provides the necessary safety. For example, the DC overvoltage protection is triggered in the event of a lightning strike. The PLENTICORE automatically reports the fault in the KOSTAL Solar Portal. The DC overvoltage protection can then be replaced and retrofitted at any time.
