Success for "Made in Europe": Every second project already relies on inverters produced in the EU
Austria's current subsidy environment reflects a distinct trend: a focus on quality.
The figures from the second call for funding under the Renewable Energy Expansion Act (EAG) demonstrate the enormous interest in European technology in Austria – almost every second project already relies on inverters manufactured in the EU. KOSTAL is also positioning itself in this market with its PLENTICORE and PIKO series – these German-made inverters are officially listed on the EAG agency's "whitelist".
Added value that pays off: up to 20% bonus
The "Made in Europe" bonus rewards investments in technological sovereignty and security of supply. By using KOSTAL inverters, customers benefit from a 10% surcharge on the investment subsidy. If the system is additionally supplemented by a European-made electricity storage unit (e.g. Varta.wall), the bonus increases to a total of 20%.
"The high demand shows that system operators are specifically focusing on durability and safety when selecting an inverter," says Hans Bernd Wiesner, Sales Manager at KOSTAL for the DACH region. "Our official listing in the "Made in Europe" bonus ensures that our customers' decision to choose European quality pays off financially."
Future-proof thanks to European standards
KOSTAL inverters stand for maximum data security, technical excellence and maximum flexibility. Software development and support are carried out entirely in Germany and Europe, thus meeting the highest requirements for data protection and IT security.
At the same time, the devices impress with their award-winning design – including the Red Dot Design Award – and high efficiency, which is independently confirmed by the SPI – System Performance Index, among others.
Thanks to their modular hybrid concept, the systems can be flexibly expanded and, with integrated functions such as WLAN, Modbus TCP and SG Ready, are already optimally prepared for the requirements of future energy systems.
The path to funding
The application process is straightforward via the EAG portal. As KOSTAL devices have already been tested by independent bodies and are on the whitelist, eligibility for subsidies is guaranteed provided the installation is correctly documented.
By choosing KOSTAL, customers reduce dependencies, strengthen European industry and secure a solution that stands for fair production standards and maximum technical reliability.
