KOSTAL PLENTICORE: "An inverter makes history!"

The PLENTICORE G3 stands for the transition to a modern and sustainable future. As the technological heart of the energy transition, KOSTAL combines regional innovation and global responsibility.

From Hagen into history

The KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 inverter, developed and produced in North Rhine-Westphalia, is being added to the collection of the House of History North Rhine-Westphalia. The PLENTICORE is thus an example of industrial and technological change in Germany's most populous federal state.

As an innovative product from the region, the inverter represents the combination of traditional industrial expertise and modern energy technology. The KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 symbolises the transition to renewable energies and the economic change that has shaped the state of North Rhine-Westphalia in recent decades.

"We see the inclusion of the PLENTICORE G3 in the collection of the House of History North Rhine-Westphalia as special recognition of our innovative work in North Rhine-Westphalia. The inverter stands for the technological change that KOSTAL has been helping to shape for generations – from industrial tradition to sustainable energy solutions for the future," says Dr Manfred Gerhard, Managing Director of KOSTAL Industrie Elektrik in Hagen.

Energy with a future made in North Rhine-Westphalia

The inverter from Hagen is now being added to the museum collection of the House of History North Rhine-Westphalia Foundation.  And in line with the foundation's guiding principle – "Democracy, Diversity, Change" – the inverter reflects several facets: PLENTICORE stands for innovative strength and sustainability, for the structural change from heavy industry to future technologies, and for the state's role as a pioneer of the energy transition. As the central product of every solar system, used in many private households, businesses and municipal projects, PLENTICORE shows how technology shapes people's everyday lives and thus becomes part of living history.

At the same time, the PLENTICORE G3 meets the central criteria of the collection at the Haus der Geschichte NRW: the KOSTAL inverter is an object with clear regional origins and a high significance for social developments, making it suitable for vividly communicating topics such as energy supply, sustainability and the important industrial transformation of North Rhine-Westphalia. As an exhibit, the inverter thus becomes an authentic testimony to the state's history – from its industrial past to its climate-neutral future.

"With the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3, we are adding an exhibit to our collection that exemplifies the visible transformation of North Rhine-Westphalia. It shows how the state has developed from a traditional industrial region into a sustainable, innovative economy," explains Axel Timmermann, research assistant at the House of History North Rhine-Westphalia.

More than just an inverter

KOSTAL has been committed to innovation in the field of inverter technology for many years. With the third and latest generation of devices – the PLENTICORE G3 – KOSTAL is proving its pioneering spirit: flexible power classes and integrated backup and storage functions make the inverter the new standard for intelligent and future-proof energy solutions.

"We see our inverters not only as technical devices, but as part of a holistic energy ecosystem that combines photovoltaics, storage, electromobility and intelligent control," adds Dr Gerhard.

In this way, KOSTAL supports the implementation of the energy transition and the further development of North Rhine-Westphalia as a leading location for innovation. And the constant combination of tradition, engineering expertise and future-oriented technology development makes the Hagen site one of the leading players in the field of smart energy solutions "Made in Germany".

A state tells its story

The House of History North Rhine-Westphalia will be built in the Behrensbau on Mannesmannufer in Düsseldorf over the coming years. The new contemporary history museum will convey the history of Germany's most populous federal state in an exciting and informative way and provide a forum for social debate.

One of its core tasks is to build up a museum collection: the foundation collects historical objects that illustrate events and stories from North Rhine-Westphalia and document them . Until the future museum opens, the foundation is visiting all 53 districts and independent cities in North Rhine-Westphalia with the MuseumMobil project – an overseas container converted into a small-scale museum.

With its inclusion in the collection of the House of History NRW, the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 connects the past, present and future. As an inverter from Hagen and a future exhibit, the PLENTICORE stands for technological innovation "Made in NRW" and the ability of a region to constantly reinvent itself.
