KOSTAL launches a new generation of apps with Solar 4me

KOSTAL presents Solar 4me , the next generation of apps for digital energy management. The Phase 1 version, which is available now, provides an initial insight into the redesigned user interface and marks the starting point for a comprehensive modernisation of the previous KOSTAL Solar App.

KOSTAL Solar 4me has been redeveloped and focuses on a fresh, modern design, intuitive operating structures and a clearly focused presentation of information. The aim of the first version is to introduce end customers to the new app world at an early stage and at the same time lay the foundations for future function packages.

"With Solar 4me, we are creating a completely new user experience and a stable platform for future functions. In the first phase, we are already showing where the journey is heading - the coming phases will strengthen the digital KOSTAL energy system in the long term and we would particularly like to take installers with us on our journey," confirms Hannes Scholz, Product Manager of the KOSTAL Solar App.

Modern look, clear focus

Phase 1 comprises the essential core functions for end customers and focuses on an improved user experience:

• New dashboard with modern energy flow graphics
• Live data in the home network
• Revised system list for a clear overview of your own PV systems
• Restructured device list with status and firmware display
• Dark mode for a display that is easy on the eyes
• ENECTOR charging modes for direct wallbox control in the home network
  

Phase 1 has been deliberately reduced to the most important functions and only supports current KOSTAL products. Installer functions, such as PRO mode and the commissioning wizard or adding new systems and devices via the app, will follow at a later date.

Further development towards the future

The release marks the start of a multi-stage rollout. Phase 2 will be released as early as 2026 and will completely replace the functional scope of the previous Solar App - supplemented by new innovative features.

Phase 2 includes, among other things:

• PRO mode for installers including PLENTICOIN management, activation codes and setup wizard
• System settings: Edit system data, manage users, configure alarms
• Add devices
• Adding systems

This makes Solar 4me the central digital access point for system operators and installers alike.
Further exciting innovations are planned for the subsequent phases, which will take KOSTAL Solar Plan step by step further into the future.

• Remote live data
• Device analysis & remote access
• iOS and Android widgets for generation, consumption and wallbox
• Customisable dashboard Forecast functions based on hours of sunshine
• And much more

The existing KOSTAL Solar App will remain in the app stores until at least Q3 2026. This will ensure a smooth transition for users and installers.
