The KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot Award: Product Design 2025 and sets new standards in solar technology design. Thanks to its modular architecture, the inverter offers flexible performance and function extensions – as a solar, hybrid or battery inverter – and can be easily adapted to changing requirements, even years after installation. The special concept enables digital upgrades instead of additional hardware, which saves material and improves sustainability. The Red Dot jury praised the clear, user-friendly design and resource-efficient production at the Hagen site in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to the Red Dot Award, the PLENTICORE G3 also received the German Design Award and the GOOD DESIGN® Award, underlining KOSTAL's innovative strength and leading role in sustainable energy solutions.

The KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3, manufactured in Hagen, Germany, has been awarded the European Product Design Award (EPDA) in the ECO DESIGN category for innovative and sustainable product design. As the world's first inverter with performance and function enhancements – either immediately or retrofitted – the PLENTICORE G3 enables flexible adaptation to changing energy requirements. It is available as a solar, hybrid and battery inverter in power classes from 4 to 20 kW, is suitable for residential and commercial use, and sets new standards in scalability, efficiency and user-friendliness. The inverter impresses with intelligent energy management technology, flexible application options and user-friendly operation, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability. The innovative design combines dynamic lines with a modular structure, which simplifies installation and promotes durability and resource conservation. The jury particularly praised the intuitive user interface and the optimal design for effective cooling. With this international award, KOSTAL confirms its role as a pioneer in aesthetic, sustainable and user-friendly solar technologies ‘Made in Germany’.

The award recognises the innovative strength and relevance of the inverter for the energy transition. The PLENTICORE G3 impresses with its maximum efficiency, user-friendliness and flexible application options – it can be used as a solar, hybrid or battery inverter and, with three basic versions (S, M, L) and power extensions, offers up to nine different classes (up to 20 kW). The KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 was recognised by pv magazine as an outstandingly innovative inverter, beating over 300 competitors. It was particularly praised for its versatility, high quality and forward-looking technology, which enable efficient use of solar energy and thus contribute to the energy transition. Manufactured in Germany, the PLENTICORE G3 is the world's first inverter that can be used as a solar, hybrid or battery inverter and can be retrofitted to increase its performance and functionality. With nine power classes from 4 to 20 kW (models S, M, L) and optional accessories such as DC surge protection or a backup switch, it offers maximum flexibility and safety for a wide range of PV systems and can be optimally adapted to individual requirements.

The KOSTAL Wallbox ENECTOR impressed in the ADAC test as a cost-efficient and powerful charging solution for electric cars. With a charging capacity of 11 kW (16A), integrated DC fault current protection (6 mA) and protection class IP54, it is safe, flexible and suitable for outdoor use. Its low standby consumption (9.6 kWh/year), compact design (392 x 251 x 165 mm) and convenient app operation meet the most important ADAC recommendations for wallboxes: integrated safety, good cable management and photovoltaic integration. In the ADAC test, it received a rating of ‘Good’ (2.3); its functionality (‘Very good’, 1.3) and safety (1.6) were rated particularly highly. The ENECTOR is therefore a reliable, smart wallbox for the home and ensures efficient charging.

The PLENTICORE hybrid inverters and the KOSTAL ENECTOR wallbox impress both users and system planners with their quality and innovation. Both products received the ‘Top Brand’ award from the independent research institute EUPD – PLENTICORE G3 and PLENTICORE plus as the best inverters, ENECTOR as the best wallbox. The PLENTICORE plus scores with high flexibility, broad compatibility and easy activation of the battery function via PLENTICOIN. The PLENTICORE G3 also offers a backup power function and is the first inverter to allow for subsequent performance upgrades. It is available in three power classes and can be optionally expanded. The ENECTOR wallbox impresses with its uncomplicated activation of intelligent charging modes, regular updates and convenient additional functions such as Time Mode.

The Haustec Award has been a fixture since 2017: in 2024, over 30,000 readers took part in the vote. The winner in the ‘Best Devices 2024’ category is the KOSTAL PLENTICORE G3 inverter. It impresses with its high efficiency, flexible storage options and a backup power function on all three phases.
