Intersolar 2023: KOSTAL thanks all visitors and contributors

After three intensive days and a new record number of visitors, KOSTAL Solar Electric can look back on a successful exhibition. Visitors were very interested in both the products making their début at the exhibition (PLENTICORE G3 and PIKO CI 100) and topics linked to sector coupling including wallboxes, batteries, heat pumps and heating rods.

Highlights and records at Intersolar 2023

As part of the exhibition "The smarter E Europe" with 106 000 visitors from 166 countries and almost 2500 exhibitors spread across 17 exhibition halls, Intersolar Europe once again underlined its status as the world's leading solar exhibition.

As in previous years, KOSTAL impressed numerous trade visitors with new products and highlights.

Its focus was on the third generation of the successful KOSTAL PLENTICORE inverter, now with a backup power function and an output of up to 20 kW – yet still the same size.

The PIKO CI range is completed by the PIKO CI 100 with eight MPP trackers, which continues the recent success story of KOSTAL commercial inverters.

A sunny THANK YOU to all visitors

"What the numerous discussions with dealers and installers have clearly shown us again this year is the continued high level of interest in KOSTAL products from Germany," says Frank Henn, Managing Director of KOSTAL Solar Electric.

True to the motto "In Germany. For Europe.", KOSTAL has sales offices in many European countries – all staffed throughout the exhibition.

"Germany as a production site and the focus on our European markets are particularly important to us," says Frank Henn. "We are underlining this through the expansion of our production capacities and the launch of our inverter generations – always tailored to the needs of our trade partners and installers."

Making its exhibition début: third generation of the PLENTICORE

The third-generation PLENTICORE was the big highlight at Intersolar. The KOSTAL inverter is available in three basic power classes, each with the option of using a code to activate two higher power classes.

KOSTAL is therefore able to cover the power range from 4 to 20 kW with just three models. The third-generation PLENTICORE can also be used as a solar, hybrid and battery inverter.

In addition, the PLENTICORE G3 can now also deliver backup power mode in conjunction with an external changeover device.

New product: PIKO CI 100

The PIKO CI 100 also celebrated its première at Intersolar. With the addition of this 100 kW model, the commercial inverter series now features another model for larger projects, continuing the success of the series.

With eight MPP trackers and 16 DC inputs, it has numerous connection options and, thanks to input currents of up to 20 A, is ideally equipped for commercial applications.

It is easy to commission with the associated PIKO CI app. When it comes to safety, it also impresses with its IP65 protective class for outdoor installation, type 2 overvoltage protection (AC/DC) and arc detection (AFCI).

Sector coupling: KOSTAL makes it simple

For a successful energy transition and maximum flexibility for the system operator, KOSTAL is continuously expanding its network of sector partners, providing all the right solutions.

Through close dialogue with technology partners, the devices are perfectly coordinated with each other. This approach is what ensures the operation of a battery storage system, for example. Here KOSTAL offers a choice of no less than eight well-known manufacturers.

KOSTAL is also gradually expanding its network with heat pump manufacturers. This year, KOSTAL demonstrated the compatibility of its products with NIBE heat pumps at Intersolar.

And once again this year, the water heating specialists at MYPV were able to advise potential customers on how to integrate photovoltaics into building technology on KOSTAL’s stand.

More convenience for KOSTAL installers and specialist partners

Continuously high demand is resulting in full order books and requires the most efficient workflows possible. KOSTAL will play its part in this by simplifying future work processes.

The new KOSTAL Solar Terminal brings together all central applications for installers and specialist partners. All functions can be accessed with just one log-in, including the KOSTAL Solar online shop, the Solar Plan, the Solar Portal and the Solar App. Further applications will follow.

All exhibition premières and highlights can also be found on our YouTube channel and in the recording of our Intersolar exhibition review in the training section of our website. The KOSTAL Solar Electric team would like to thank the Munich exhibition company, the organisers of Intersolar and the numerous visitors and potential customers who came to the stand. We look forward to seeing you again next year.
