Smart inverters meet powerful storage systems
Both the PLENTICORE inverters (IP65) and the LGES RESU FLEX storage system (IP55) can be used indoors and outdoors. Whether they are installed in the basement, utility room or simply on the outside wall of a house, the storage modules run smoothly at ambient temperatures of between -10 and +50 degrees – for use in homes and businesses.
LGES RESU FLEX relies on a modular solution that is suitable for wall and floor mounting. It is also flexibly expandable and easy to handle. Each module unit has a dimensional depth of 14.8 cm, showing just how compact the storage system is. The basic equipment consists of three main components: a control unit and at least two battery modules, each with a capacity of 4.3 kWh, make up the RESU FLEX storage system.
Depending on the layout, the voltage range varies between 192 and 531.2 volts, with a maximum charge/discharge current of 22 amps for the PLENTICORE BI and 13 amps for the PLENTICORE plus. This creates a charge/discharge power of 2.5-6.5 kW (PLENTICORE plus) or up to 10 kW (PLENTICORE BI), which guarantees the supply. For this purpose, PLENTICORE inverters are equipped with special safety components in accordance with regulations and ensure trouble-free operation. LGES RESU FLEX also offers sufficient protection against overvoltage, overcurrent and short circuits.
RS485 is used to communicate with the PLENTICORE inverter. It is easy to commission and monitor the solution using the free KOSTAL Solar App. The result is a powerful solar storage duo for more self-sufficiency.
KOSTAL hybrid and battery inverters
The PLENTICORE plus as a hybrid inverter is the perfect all-round solution for all conceivable system configurations and offers a simple connection to LGES RESU FLEX. As a true all-rounder, the PLENTICORE plus has a stand-alone output of between 3 kW and 10 kW and can also achieve higher outputs when two or more devices are interconnected. It provides dynamic regulation, providing the greatest possible amount of self-produced electricity at the right time.
The PLENTICORE BI also has compact dimensions. The battery inverter is a real powerhouse for daily use and is available in the power classes 5.5 kW and 10 kW, with an input current of 26 amps. This makes the battery inverter from KOSTAL a perfect candidate for expanding an existing PV system.
