KOSTAL Solar Terminal instructions

The KOSTAL Solar Terminal first takes you to the home page where you will find the user-specific area and selected applications.

With the help of tiles, users can access all other KOSTAL applications centrally via the home page or menu. 

In addition, users can easily switch back and forth between the individual KOSTAL applications.

What are the advantages of the KOSTAL Solar Terminal?

In the new KOSTAL Solar Terminal, you can conveniently handle all business and administrative processes yourself – in just a few clicks. You can also manage your own profile and enter, compare and edit data.

This gives you complete transparency and control over all information in the KOSTAL Solar Terminal. A rights and roles concept allows you to add other employees from your company as users to the KOSTAL Solar Terminal and assign them their own rights and roles.

One distinctive feature is that you access the KOSTAL Solar Terminal and all other applications with just one login (single sign-on).

What does single sign-on mean?

With the new KOSTAL Solar Terminal and integrated single sign-on, you only have to log in once and then you can access all KOSTAL applications without any further action.

Single sign-on allows you to access all KOSTAL applications. This saves time and is secure and user-friendly. In addition, the new KOSTAL Solar Terminal with single sign-on facilitates mobile working from any location.

How can I register for the KOSTAL Solar Terminal?

As a plant operator (private or commercial) or business customer (installer or specialist dealer), you can register here.

A message will be sent to the e-mail address you specify. Please confirm this. The registration link is only valid for a limited time.

How do I register as a plant operator (private and commercial)?

On the home page, click on "Not got a user account yet?". On the next page, select "Plant operator (private and commercial)".

Fill in all the boxes below (e-mail address, title and name) and then enter a password. Please follow the instructions for a secure password.

Finally, accept the terms and conditions of use and complete the data protection declaration. Also, fill in the captcha by entering into the box the characters from the image above.

Now click on Register.

How do I register as a business customer (installer or specialist dealer)?

KOSTAL Solar Terminal for business customers

On the home page, click on "Not got a user account yet?". On the next page, select "Business customer (installer or specialist dealer)".

Please note the information about registering for the first time. If your company is already registered in the KOSTAL Solar Terminal, cancel the registration process with "No" and contact your company’s administrator.
If you want to register yourself and your company for the first time, confirm this with "Yes".

Fill in all the boxes below (e-mail addresses, title, name, company name and full address). Please then enter a password. Please follow the instructions for a secure password.

Also select an appropriate customer group for your company.

Finally, accept the terms and conditions of use and complete the data protection declaration. Also, fill in the captcha by entering into the box the characters from the image above.

Now click on Register.

Please note that your registration will then be approved manually. 

How do I add more users to my company?

If you have registered as a business customer in the KOSTAL Solar Terminal, you can add more users to your company account by inviting them to join.

You will find this option on the home page under "User account". Then click on "Administration", "All user accounts" and "Add user" in the menu.

A new window opens. Enter the e-mail address of the user you want to invite and assign the desired role(s) in the second box. You can select more than one.

The invited user receives an e-mail. This e-mail must be confirmed in order to activate the user account.

Note: The invitation link is only valid for a limited time.

How do I assign roles? Can this also be done at a later date?

As the administrator of your company account in the KOSTAL Solar Terminal, you can add new users to your company account by issuing an invitation. You can directly enter a role in this invitation. You can also add or delete roles and assign roles more than once at a later date.

You will find the option for the roles on the home page under "User account". Then click on "Administration" and "All user accounts" in the menu.

Select the desired user and under Options, click on the pencil icon ("Edit").

The user box expands and shows the available roles. You can reassign or delete these in the drop-down menu.

Then save your selection under "Options" by clicking on the disk symbol ("Save").

Note: Only users with "Active" status can be edited.

Please also note: Selecting "No role" deletes all roles.

 

What roles are available? And what permissions are linked to them?

When you register in the KOSTAL Solar Terminal for the first time, you become the administrator of your company account. As an administrator, you can invite other users to the KOSTAL Solar Terminal and assign roles. Roles can be assigned more than once.

The following roles are available:

  • Administrator: Administration of company data and all user accounts 
    (e.g. invitation for new users)
  • Purchaser: Purchase authorisation in the KOSTAL Solar Webshop 
    (e.g. purchase of PLENTICOINs) 
  • Installer: Retrieval of activation codes in the KOSTAL Solar Webshop 
    (by redeeming PLENTICOINs from the company account) 
  • Planner: Use of the pre-configuration tool and KOSTAL Solar Plan

What statuses are available? And how do they differ?

When you log in to the KOSTAL Solar Terminal or add more users to your company account by inviting them to join, you or the users are assigned a particular status. 

The following statuses are available:

  • Active: User account confirmed
  • Registered: User account (activation link) not yet confirmed
  • Registration inactive: Activation link has expired
  • Invited: Invitation link has not yet been confirmed 
  • Invitation inactive: Invitation link has expired
  • Deleted: User account has been deleted 
  • Locked: User account has been locked
  • Changed: Invitation by administrator to the company (activation link not yet confirmed)


Where can I find the service code?

As an installer, you can find the service code for adjusting system-specific switch-off limits according to the grid operator's requirements at any time in your user account under "My profile" in the KOSTAL Solar Terminal. Please note that you need the "Installation" role to view the code. If you do not yet have this role, please contact your company administrator.
