The KOSTAL Smart Warranty comes with a three-year manufacturers warranty and further warranty extension options are possible! 

Smarty warranty

Benefit from the Smart Warranty: By registering in the KOSTAL Solar Webshop, you receive a 5-year warranty extension free of charge. This gives you a 3-year manufacturer's warranty. This applies to all devices of the PLENTICORE plus, PIKO MP plus, PIKO IQ, PIKO 10-20 and PIKO 36 EPC series.

5 steps to receiving KOSTAL Smart Warranty – it’s simple:

Step 1: Log in to your user account
Step 2: Select KOSTAL Smart Warranty
Step 3: Enter date of initial operation, serial number, system data and system location
Step 4: Confirm registration data
Step 5: The warranty certificate will be sent to you immediately by e-mail

Your statutory warranty is not affected by our product warranty. Our services covered by the warranty include a rapid exchange service to ensure that your PV system is quickly back in operation. We will organize the collection of your defective device and we will also cover the freight costs incurred for this.

Extension of warranty

It is possible to extend the inverter’s five-year warranty by a further 5, 10 or 15 years within the first two years of purchase. You can now order this warranty extension quickly and easily from our online shop.

This method comes with numerous advantages:

  • straightforward, fast process; no longer any need to submit an application to extend the warranty
  • Orders can be placed 24/7
  • Warranty certificate (PDF) is e-mailed to you straightaway

To place an order, please register with our KOSTAL Solar online shop. We will then check your registration details and let you know our prices for business customers, if required. As soon as we have verified your registration, you can place your first order in the KOSTAL Solar online shop.

Service enquiries

You can submit a complaint outside our hotline opening hours. Please complete the questionnaire and send it to us, together with the log data, as an attachment to our contact form. If the inverter is not included in our free KOSTAL (PIKO) Solar Portal, please read the log data out from the device.

Requesting a PARAKO password / service code

The PARAKO parameterisation software or the service code for PLENTICORE plus and PIKO IQ can be used to adapt the system-specific shutdown limits to the grid operator's requirements. Since the plant owner must not change the settings on the inverter, the parameterisation software is protected by a different password for each individual. 
Before such a password can be allocated, we, KOSTAL Solar Electric, need you to confirm that you are an electrician from an authorised specialist company and that you will not disclose the password to the plant owner. Therefore, please download the registration form, fill it out, scan it in and return it via our contact form.
